Health Education
Health Educators work in partnership with individual patients and assist them in learning the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve optimal health and well-being.
Health Educators :
Share health knowledge and promote healthy attitudes and behaviors.
Provide skill building techniques that can help patients reduce known health risk factors and empower them to make healthy decisions.
Promote positive health and wellness concepts throughout the community of Southeastern Idaho .
Respect the diversity and needs of the individual patient.
Promote human dignity through our actions and programming efforts.
Provide encouragement and support to patients who are working towards achieving their wellness goals.
Serve as resource guides for obtaining credible health information.
Health Educators can provide basic health information pertaining to the areas listed below:
- Physical Activity and Exercise
- Nutrition
- High Blood Pressure
- Cholesterol
- Diabetes
- Obesity and Weight Loss
- Prenatal Nutrition and Exercise
- Healthy Lifestyle Habits
- Identifying Barriers and Finding Motivation
